Norfolk Food Pantry
The Norfolk Food Pantry began with a 1992 pilot program in January by a group of volunteers at Emmanuel. The Food Pantry operates with volunteer personnel and is under the direction of the Mission Board of EBC. It was opened to the community at large in September of 1992. Emmanuel serves as host because of our conviction to help those in need. (See Matthew 25:40 ; 1 John 3:17,18 ; Galatians 6:9-10 ).
How to Receive Food:
Any Norfolk resident in need can receive food from the food pantry. All that is needed is to arrive at the Food Pantry on Saturday Mornings 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM and provide proof of residency (for example: Driver's License or other ID). We look forward to meeting you!
How & Where to Donate:
The Food Pantry receives contributions from residents by special appointment or just during the week, Tuesday thru Friday between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM through the office of Emmanuel. Also, Sunday drop-offs can be made in the hallway of the Church building in the designated area.

We CANNOT Accept:
Financial contributions can be made to provide for some types of food that are not donated as well as perishable items that are purchased. Each year at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we distribute boxes with extra food for a holiday meal.
If desired, letters, acknowledging donations, are written by the Financial Secretary and sent in January documenting donations to the church during the previous calendar year. Letters state the value of any currency given. Letters cannot state the value of donated items, but will include a listing of such items if it is provided to the Financial Secretary. The determination of the fair market value of any item given is the responsibility of the donor.
