Jesus, who is Truth, stated "From the beginning of creation God made them male and female" Therefore God created man and woman at the beginning of creation, not long ages after the earth was formed. Obviously Jesus was referring to a young earth, and Creation itself occurring within six ordinary days. God stopped in the middle of dictating the Ten Commandments to emphasize this very point, when He stated; "For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it." (Exodus 20:11) Jesus also made clear references to Noah and the flood as not only actual history, but causing major changes to the world in his day as recorded in Genesis. When Jesus changed the water into wine, the normally long process became instant to fulfill an immediate need. The wine had run out and the need was then, yet the wine had the characteristics of what we would call proper aging. This is the same process that He used during Creation. Trees when created were not seeds or seedlings, but were mature and bearing ripe fruit. Why, because there would be a need for food three days later when Adam and Eve would be hungry. Adam and Eve themselves were not infants, but fully developed adults. People are fooled today into thinking that the earth is old because of appearance, and they would probably say the same thing if they had observed the Garden of Eden. God in His Eyewitness account, tells us exactly how He created things, yet modern man wants to reinterpret the evidence for himself and draw the wrong conclusions. Both Christians and non-Christians can look at the evidence and draw conclusions, but only one will be right. Peter writes in his second epistle concerning creation, giving further insight into some of the described process that God used. But he also warns that in our day there will be scoffers and incorrect interpretation of the evidence. God warned those in the days before the Flood, as He is warning us today of another Judgment to come. The Bible prophesied that Jesus would come exactly when He did, and there are substantially many more prophecies concerning the fact that He is coming again, but if we choose to either ignore or misinterpret the evidence, we will not be ready. In spite of the evidence Carl Sagan misled many people into believing that Earth is just an insignificant speck in a vast lifeless universe. Carl has died and he is now a believer, but without a Savior which is the penalty of unbelief. Truly, to die without a firm faith and belief in Jesus, is the ultimate futility when surrounded by so much evidence that Jesus gave us to see and understand. "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 Jesus was both full of grace and truth as written and described by Randy Alcorn in his book, "The Grace and Truth Paradox", which is an interesting study of those attributes in Jesus.
