11/08/2008 And After the Elections? Deuteronomy 4:1-6: John 17 # What does it mean to be a good citizen of the kingdom of God and the United States of America? Jesus told us that we must recognize that we are "in the world" but not "of the world". He prayed for his disciples and believers that would follow them in faith for: Unity, Protection, Sanctification and Sending in John 17. We must navigate the tension of living in two kingdoms by seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. As we do this, we influence the world around us. We were redeemed in our generation to RESONATE with the gospel...REFLECT the light of the glory of Christ... and to RADIATE with the warmth of God's love being salt and light in the world.
