R E V E R B a night of worship and prayer Next REVERB - Sat, March 3rd 7-9PM
Raise - Reverb is a time of worship, confession and thanksgiving, engaging and pursuing the Spirit of Christ in us through prayer, His Word and song. Reverb is a time to ask the Lord for life, forgiveness, grace, healing and to search for freedom and to commit to Him in a place of repentance and renewal. Rest - Reverb is a place where we gather together for fellowship seeking to encourage one another, sharing prayer and concerns stimulating us to rest in Christ and pursue Him not only in a season of worship but in all our lives. Reach - Reverb is a call to go and meet those lost and alone in a dark world without the faith, hope and love found in Jesus Christ. Who can come to Reverb? - All ages are invited - any age, any background, any perspective. What will the format be? - This ain’t no Sunday morning. There may be much music; there may be a time of public reading of the Scriptures, literature or poetry; there may be a solo or a video; there will be a brief time of creative teaching. The music style will vary from current to ancient. Reverb will operate within the doctrinal beliefs of Emmanuel, but Reverb will allow moments of unpredictability as the Spirit leads and is purposely designed to be a very different form from Sunday mornings. Where is Reverb? - In the worship center of Emmanuel, Norfolk When is Reverb? - The next Reverb gathering will be December 10th. Starting in January 2012, Reverb will be the first Saturday of every month. How long will Reverb last? - Reverb will start at 7PM and end between 8 or 830. However, a portion of Reverb happens afterwards, as group time is also a value. Once our time of worship is over, we will all head to Eagle Brook for food and talk. Whoever wants to join us is welcome. Disclaimer: Reverb is not a concert or an attempt at entertainment. Please don’t come to sit back, fold your arms and watch. Reverb is a time, a place and a call to engage with God, to raise, rest and reach.
