R E V E R B

a night of worship and prayer

Next REVERB - Sat, Feb 4th

7-9PM

Raise - Reverb is a time of worship, confession and thanksgiving, engaging and pursuing the Spirit of Christ in us through prayer, His Word and song. Reverb is a time to ask the Lord for life, forgiveness, grace, healing and to search for freedom and to commit to Him in a place of repentance and renewal.

Rest - Reverb is a place where we gather together for fellowship seeking to encourage one another, sharing prayer and concerns stimulating us to rest in Christ and pursue Him not only in a season of worship but in all our lives.

Reach - Reverb is a call to go and meet those lost and alone in a dark world without the faith, hope and love found in Jesus Christ.

"Timeless" Truth #58 - by Ben Brown

bible-Timeless_Truth

In Jesus’ time there were times when the Jewish leaders asked for a sign, apparently attempting to challenge who Jesus indicated that he was. One of the signs He gave them was a very specific connection to Jonah whose story the leadership knew quite well. Jesus tied Himself directly to that sign in the Old Testament by stating that as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so He would be in the heart of the earth.

Bring It, Don't Give It

01/22/2012  Bring It, Don't Give It:  Four Principles for Tithing

offeringThe church is not exempt of materialism. We all struggle with greed in some capacity. It could very well be that the powerless state of the Western church is due to her lack of prayer and her adulterous affair with the god of materialism. Personal as well as national debt are at astronomical levels. In order for one to grow in maturity with Christ, one must give over all control to Him including one's finances. Four Principles for Tithing helps us understand God’s view of money.

New Classes beginning February 19:

Pastor Mike McGarry and Eric Nelson will co-teach “The Tale of the Church - Moving Forward by Looking Back”.  In Ecclesiastes 1:9 King Solomon laments “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” Although technology has clearly changed a bit, Solomon’s words have been echoing this truth about the human predicament for nearly 3000 years –there is nothing that is happening today that didn’t occur at some point in the past. Join Mike and Eric for an interactive journey through the convergences and the controversies of the church of the past to help us better understand the challenges facing the body of Christ today.

Pastor Pete Hoglund will be leading a class entitled Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. The Christian faith is supposed to produce deep, positive changes. So why doesn't it? Pastor Scazzero did some digging and discovered a bottom line truth: It's impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. Here he reveals seven steps to transformation that will help you live a life of authenticity, awareness, and hunger for God. (240 pages, softcover from Nelson)
