Pastor Pete and Becky Hoglund

Pete grew up in Burnsville Minnesota one of three children. He enjoys music, being outdoors, movies and reading. Graduating from High School in 1982 he went on to graduate from Bethel College in St. Paul, MN 1988 earning his BA in communications.

Becky grew up in Prospect Heights Illinois and met Pete while working on her undergraduate degree at Bethel. She graduated from Bethel in 1989 earning her BA in communications. Becky enjoys being outdoors and exercise, spending time with her family, reading, casual dinning with friends at home and a night at the movies. Both Pete and Becky have been active in discipleship and outreach in local church ministry since high school.

Pete and Becky were married in 1989. After Becky graduated Pete soon took a job with a pharmaceutical firm which brought them to Sioux Falls South Dakota and then Rockford Illinois. While in college both Pete and Becky were active in ministry and in 1995 God called them to serve full time on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ as chaplains at Northwestern University, Evanston Illinois. As their experience, training and ministry developed it was clear that God had been preparing the two for serving in leadership in the local church.

In 2000 Pete joined the staff of Winnetka Bible Church in Winnetka Illinois as the pastor of contemporary worship and outreach. In 2003 Pete went back to school to earn his Master of Divinity from Moody Graduate School. While working on his Masters Pete also served in a part time capacity at Waters Edge Church in Carol Stream Illinois as their Pastor of Worship Arts. In July 2007 Pete, Becky and family moved from the Chicagoland area to join the pastoral staff of Emmanuel Baptist Church to serve as their pastor of Discipleship and Outreach.

Pete and Becky have been married for 18 years and have four children: Noah (15), Elsa (13), Gretta (10) and Olivia (7).
