 Pastor John and Karen Ames
John grew up in Wayland, Massachusetts in a family of six children. His interests were sports and music. Graduating from High School in 1971, he went on to UMASS in Amherst and graduated in 1975 with a B.S. in Physical Education and Health. During the 70’s he was involved in a collegiate and high school discipleship ministry with the Navigators, joining the staff in Boston working with college students for two years.
Karen grew up in Lancaster, Massachusetts and met John earlier in life through a youth ministry. Karen pursued studies in nursing and she also was involved in discipleship ministry in Maine and Boston. They were married in 1981. John pursued seminary studies while pastoring in Norwood, MA and graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1985 with his MDIV degree.

 Pastor Mike and Tracy McGarry (and Matthew)
Pastor Mike and Tracy grew up in the local area and graduated from Oliver Ames High School in Easton, but it wasn’t until they both graduated from college that they started dating and got married in July, 2004.
Pastor Mike graduated from Gordon College in 2002 with a B.A. in Youth Ministries and Biblical and Theological Studies and from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with his M.Div. in 2005. Upon graduating from GCTS, Pastor Mike and Tracy felt strongly called to return to their “home area” to serve Christ, which led them to Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he was hired to serve as Pastor of Student Ministries.
Tracy teaches 8th grade at the Norton Middle School and attended Messiah College and Bridgewater State College. Pastor Mike and Tracy welcomed their first child, Matthew, in January, 2008. They enjoy reality TV (a little too much), reading, and spending time with family.

 Pastor Pete and Becky Hoglund
Pete grew up in Burnsville Minnesota one of three children. He enjoys music, being outdoors, movies and reading. Graduating from High School in 1982 he went on to graduate from Bethel College in St. Paul, MN 1988 earning his BA in communications.
Becky grew up in Prospect Heights Illinois and met Pete while working on her undergraduate degree at Bethel. She graduated from Bethel in 1989 earning her BA in communications. Becky enjoys being outdoors and exercise, spending time with her family, reading, casual dinning with friends at home and a night at the movies. Both Pete and Becky have been active in discipleship and outreach in local church ministry since high school.

 Office Manager Bobbie Strauss
I have been truly blessed to serve the Lord and our church family as the office manager (alias church secretary) since July 2000. It has been a humbling yet joyful experience to be a part of the ministry at Emmanuel Baptist Church. My husband, Keith, and I ventured to New England from the Midwest. We have been at EBC for over twenty years now and raised our children in this church. We're so thankful that God planted us here to glorify and serve Him.
