Sometime this year Felix Baumgartner will make history. He will ascend to an altitude of 23 miles above the earth in a pressurized capsule attached to a 400+ foot balloon. Once he has reached 123,000 feet he will depressurize his capsule, pressurize his specially designed space suit and with parachute on his back he will jump.

02/21/2010 Commendable Faith - Abraham's Eyes of Faith: Hebrews 11:8-19
People are famous for many reasons in our society. Some because of their looks; some because of their talents; some because of their bravery and courage. Some because of their extraordinary sacrifice. Abraham serves as another example of extraordinary faith and gets a lot of ink in the book of Genesis and the letter to the Hebrews. He leaves us a great example for increasing our faith today.

02/07/2010 Commendable Faith Series - The Ancients: Hebrews 11:1-3
Christian Faith is much more than wishful thinking. In fact, God's Word explains it as confident expectation of things not yet seen. If there is one thing that pleases God, it is genuine faith. The writer to the early Jewish Christians makes this very clear. Why would genuine faith please God? Because it opens the channel for Him to accomplish His will in and through our lives... His will which is good, acceptable and perfect.

The life and times of Noah are much more than an ancient story. They are all about a man of persevering faith who obeys God when the whole world was wallowing in violence and selfishness. Noah "found favor" in the eyes of the Lord. Noah's ark becomes a picture of God's refuge from danger and death to all who would enter in to discover God's favor.
