Norfolk Food Pantry
The Norfolk Food Pantry began with a 1992 pilot program in January by a group of volunteers at Emmanuel. It was opened to the community at large in September of 1992
pantry_building The Norfolk Food Pantry is located in the small building just behind the office building of Emmanuel Baptist Church. It is open on Saturdays from 10 am - noon, but the hours will change on February 4, 2012 to 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The Food Pantry distributes a variety of nonperishable foods as well as eggs, juice, milk and other necessities. Items are distributed to families according to need and size. All Norfolk residents finding themselves in need may come each week.

The Food Pantry receives contributions from residents during the week, Monday thru Friday between 9am - 4pm through the office of Emmanuel. Sunday drop-offs can be made in the hallway of the Church building in the designated area. The Food Pantry operates with volunteer personnel and is under the direction of the Mission Board of EBC.

Each year at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we distribute boxes with extra food for a holiday meal. For more information, call the office of Emmanuel.
